Fire Performers Welcome

A fire show is normally the climax of the evening — it gets its slot in the programme, its space and everyone's attention. A welcome works differently: the performers work by the entrance, the path or the courtyard, and guests walk past them as they arrive. There is no announcement and no seated audience — from the first moment, fire is simply burning around them.

That is why this format is often chosen when the evening already has a fire show, or when there is no room left for one. The arrival gets a spectacle of its own, and the main programme stays untouched.

The performers work in purpose-made costumes and Venetian masks. That changes the nature of the act: instead of an athletic fire trick, the guest meets a character they want a photograph with. The mask also lets the look be matched to the event's theme — from a classic masquerade to a darker, more theatrical aesthetic.

The act can be extended with fire stands at the driveway or fire sculptures in the courtyard — the welcome then stops being a single turn and becomes an avenue of fire up to the door. What is worth combining depends on the length of the path and the flow of guests.

A fire welcome is staged outdoors — at the driveway, along a path, on manor steps or at a marquee entrance. It needs a level surface and a safe distance between the performers and the guests walking past; we assess the exact space for each venue, because here people are moving rather than sitting in rows.
