Educational programmes for schools

For a school what matters is not the name of the programme but whether it fits inside a lesson and whether the pupils will actually do something. The educators arrive with all their equipment — weapons, armour and the display pieces — so the school has nothing to transport or prepare: the programme runs in a classroom, an assembly hall or the schoolyard, depending on the weather and the space available.

The same historical topic is presented differently to younger pupils, teenagers and senior classes: more play and visual material for the younger ones, more independent activity and analysis for the older. The content is built for the comprehension of grades 1-4, 5-8 and 9-12, and the school picks the era that best fits the topic being studied at the time.

Can the programme run at our school?

Yes. The educators come with all the equipment they need, so no special hall or stage is required — a classroom, an assembly hall or the schoolyard all work. We choose the space together with the school, based on the number of pupils and the weather.

How are school programmes funded in Lithuania?

The history programmes are listed under the Kultūros pasas (Culture Pass) scheme, so a Lithuanian school can pay for them from Culture Pass funds rather than its own budget. The booking procedure follows that scheme, so it is worth checking the current process before ordering.

Hands-on activities at a city festival

At a city festival hands-on activities work differently from a stage act: people do not sit down to watch, they walk up, have a go and move on. So what matters is that no queue builds up and that everyone who wants a turn gets one — the shooting and throwing contests are run by an instructor who explains the technique in half a minute.

Craft workshops and coin minting hold people longer: a participant leaves with something they made themselves, so families linger at that station. In practice the combination works best — one accuracy contest for the moving crowd and one craft station for those who want to sit down.

How much room does an activity station need?

It depends on the contest: shooting and throwing need a safe run of ground and a clear distance from passers-by, while a craft workshop needs only a table and a cover. We agree the spot in advance from the plan of the square, and mark the safety perimeter ourselves.

Do people sign up, or just walk in?

At city festivals it is free flow — participants come when they want. If the event runs to a strict timetable or a very large crowd is expected, the station can work in sessions instead; we agree that with the organiser beforehand.

For public events

An activity day for a company

A company team is almost always mixed — from the sporty to those who will arrive in dress shoes. So we choose contests decided by aim and coordination rather than fitness: the technique can be explained in a minute, and a beginner beats an athlete if the team coaches them better.

When a team already competes at work, activities without a contest work better — craft workshops or coin minting, where everyone leaves with something of their own. Several stations can be built into a single day with a shared ending, or left as a free interlude before dinner.

Do the contests suit employees who do no sport?

Yes — that is exactly why we choose them. Shooting, throwing and crafts need no physical preparation, and the instructor adapts the distance and the equipment to the participant, so nobody ends up in a situation they visibly lose.

Can several activities be combined into one day?

Yes, and that is the usual arrangement. The stations run side by side and the teams move between them in turn; if you want one overall result and a winner, we join the activities into a single programme with a host and scoring.

The answers people need most

How much do the activities and workshops cost?

Prices for our activities and workshops start from €75. The final price depends on the number of participants, the scope of the program and the venue – leave a request and within one business day we will send an offer with an exact price.

Do participants need any experience?

No. An instructor teaches every contest and craft from scratch, and we bring all the equipment ourselves. Shooting a bow, throwing an axe or striking a coin works on the first try even for complete beginners – which is exactly why these programs work for mixed groups.

Is shooting and throwing safe during an event?

Yes, within the order we set up ourselves. Every activity runs in its own fenced-off zone supervised by an instructor – guests nearby watch from the safe side, and equipment is handed over only at the line. Participants who have been drinking are not allowed to shoot or throw.

Do the programs suit mixed groups of children and adults?

Yes, that is the most common case. We adapt the difficulty to the participants: lighter equipment and shorter rounds for children, a competitive format for adults. Tell us the ages and the rough number of participants in your request and we will propose the right combination of programs.
