When a guest is handed something they can hold

Most welcome formats work through watching: the guest sees a character and takes a photo. Candy Girls work differently — they give something. A treat in the hand shifts a guest from observer to participant, and at the same time gives them a natural excuse to speak to whoever is standing next to them.

That is why this format is particularly useful at the start of an event, while guests are still arriving, standing in small clusters and glancing around. A character with a tray joins those clusters faster than any invitation from the host.

A bright look that asks to be photographed

The costumes are built around a confectionery theme: vivid colours, playful details, a theatrical silhouette. Guests notice a character like this from across a room, and photographs with them almost always end up on social media — organic visibility for your event that nobody has to arrange separately.

The act can be combined with Rose Ladies, mirror or flower characters, so the arrival reads as one considered scene. What is worth pairing depends on the space and the style of the event.

Do you supply the treats?

No — the treats are supplied by you, while we bring the performers and handle handing them out to your guests. That way you choose what is served and can account for any allergies or dietary restrictions among your guests.

When does this welcome work best?

At the start of the event, while guests are still arriving and standing in small clusters. A treat in the hand gives them an excuse to speak to whoever is next to them, so the clusters merge faster than they would after a host's invitation.

Do you need a separate space?

No. Space by the entrance or in the hall is enough for the performers to move freely among guests. No stage, power or sound equipment is required, and the act works equally well indoors and outdoors.
