What the impression is made of
- A continuous story-driven show with a narrator's voice
- Fire performers, dancers and actors in roles: the priest, the chosen one, his beloved, the Keeper of the Sun
- More than twenty fire tools and effects – from exploding lycopodium torches to fountain poi
- Flamethrowers, fire machines and a pyrotechnic finale
- One scene without fire – a duet of light, where the contrast is the meaning
- A sculpture of burning hearts in the grand finale
- Certified equipment and a technical crew on duty throughout the show
Fire, like nature herself, is neither good nor evil. It is as the heart that holds it.
A story the audience follows from the first altar fire
The show opens in darkness: the fire machines “breathe” and the priest lights the altars. The village celebrates, the world lacks nothing – yet people forget where the light comes from. One morning the sun does not rise.
Fire itself chooses a hero, one born under its sign. His beloved refuses to let him go alone, so the priest binds their wrists with a burning rope and they set out together. Three trials await them on the road: temptation, warriors of steel, and a silent valley where even fire dies.
At the mountain's summit the truth is revealed: only a heart willing to burn can rekindle the sun. The hero sacrifices himself, and the sun bursts into light. But the story does not end there: his beloved descends into the underworld and, through love, brings him back from the dead.
What makes the impression
Every fire tool here plays a part in the story. Fire fans become a false “sun” that people show off with. A lycopodium torch bursts into flame and marks the chosen one. Walls of flamethrower fire become a mountain that breathes fire. The audience sees not a string of tricks but a narrative in which each effect appears exactly where the drama needs it.
The narrator guides the audience through the whole show, so the story is clear even to those who came only to watch the fire.
Where it comes into its own
Path of the Sun is made for city festivals, open-air festivals, castle courtyards and old-town squares where an audience gathers for the evening. We prepare the narration in Lithuanian, English or French.
Safety and the performance area
Before the event we assess the site and the safe distances together with you. In public spaces we help you clear the special effects with the municipality. Fire never burns directly on the grass, and we leave the site tidy after the show.
The practical side — ours to handle
Space
We need an open, level area. If your venue is smaller, we can often adapt the programme.
Indoors
We have versions built for halls; we assess your space in advance.
Weather
Light rain is no obstacle, and we agree a fallback before the event.
Permits and safety
We settle safe distances and technical conditions ourselves and bring the safety gear.
The answers people need most
How is Path of the Sun different from Phoenix?
Path of the Sun is more theatre than fire show. It has characters, acting and a narrator who guides the audience through one continuous story, and every fire tool plays its own part in the plot. Phoenix is a larger-scale spectacle that puts more emphasis on the number of effects and on pyrotechnics. If you want your audience to leave having not only seen fire but lived through a story, choose Path of the Sun.
How much does Path of the Sun cost and what does the price depend on?
The price is quoted on request – there is no fixed price. It depends on the location and distance, the narration language, the site conditions and any additional wishes. Send us the date and location and we will reply with a quote within one working day.
Will the audience understand the story if they don't speak Lithuanian?
Yes. We prepare the narration in Lithuanian, English or French, so the show also suits international festivals. The story is also told visually – through acting and fire – so the main idea comes across even to those who don't catch every word.
What kind of performance area is needed?
A level open-air space is needed – a square, courtyard or lawn that the audience views from the front or from several sides. You will find the minimum area in the facts section. Before confirming the date we assess your site together, including safe distances to the audience and buildings and the sound system needed for the narrator's voice.
Does the show go ahead in rain or wind?
Light rain or wind does not affect the show – the crew works in changeable weather. In strong wind we adapt some of the effects so that safety is never compromised, and any decision about dangerous conditions is made together with you before the performance.
