Fire Show Dragon

“Dragon” is a large-scale programme: it needs a stage or square where fire can rise high and spread wide. That is why it is chosen for city festivals, open-air events and large corporate occasions, where the crowd is big and the distance to the stage is long — the kind of space in which a smaller act simply disappears.

The programme runs twelve choreographed dances and sixteen different fire and pyrotechnic tools that replace one another without a pause. On top of those come more than thirty special effects and music-timed pyrotechnic charges — enough that the picture changes every few seconds from beginning to end.

The show opens on a stage lit by burning braziers, into which dancers step carrying torches. Fire swords follow, their sweeps leaving huge tongues of flame in the air, and then flame duets with burning chains. Pyrotechnic fountains and showers of glowing embers draw ornaments in the air that vanish the instant they form.

The middle section brings flamethrowers, then a lyrical dance with blazing fans, spinning burning pyramids and a dance with fire snakes. In the finale every performer returns to the stage, and at the climax a rain of sparks falls through the air while fireworks break above it.

The show's signature elements are its flame projectors, whose fire sweeps through a hundred and eighty degrees, and its powerful lasers. They deliver a scale no hand-held tool can reach, and they are what makes the programme convincing even from the furthest rows.

Both are large-scale fire spectacles, and both draw on the same arsenal of tools. What differs is how they tell it: “Phoenix” has a storyline with two lead characters who wear burning costumes and meet in a duel at the end — a story of light defeating darkness. “Dragon” has no storyline: it is pure spectacle, its scenes following the music rather than a narrative.

The practical difference is simple. If your event has a story of its own and you want the fire section to carry it with characters, choose “Phoenix”. If you need a strong, unbroken visual hit without that extra narrative layer, “Dragon” delivers the same scale at a lower price.

If the space is smaller, or the fire section has to be short, look at “Flame Lords”; for a theatrical piece with a storyline, “Inferno” is the fit.
