A Chinese dragon is not a costume but living movement rising above the crowd.
A spectacle rarely seen at events here
A Chinese dragon is far more than a costume — it is living motion. Performers give the striking, brightly-coloured traditional construction a sinuous, flowing life, so the dragon seems to truly rise and ripple above the crowd. Synchronised movement, bold colour and traditional East Asian music create a spectacle rarely seen at events here.
The programme is completed by a distinct silk fan-dance segment: coloured silk fans in the performers' hands add a further layer of visual harmony alongside the dragon element. Costumes and masks are chosen carefully to reflect an authentic, ancient Eastern spirit and symbolism.
Not only for themed evenings — it fits any celebration
Chinese Dragons is one of the most popular programmes for Eastern-culture or exotic-travel themed parties, yet it also works beautifully as an original, standalone accent at any celebration — festivals, city events, business openings and cultural showcases alike.
The performance needs a spacious area so the performers can freely manoeuvre the long dragon construction — we don't require exact dimensions, just enough room to move in every direction. We work both in closed halls and in the open air, so the show can take place indoors or on an outdoor square.
Safe to watch up close — and shaped around your evening
Although the construction is large, the performance is always planned and professionally controlled: the choreography is built to keep a safe distance between the dragon and the audience at every moment, so guests can enjoy the spectacle up close without any risk.
We readily adapt the programme to your event's scenario — the length, the dragon's path through the space and the fan-dance accents can all be paired with special lighting solutions or musical cues so the act flows naturally into your evening.
After the performance, guests are invited to take photos with the dragons and the colourful costumes — by far one of the most popular parts of the programme, leaving a striking visual memory of the celebration.
Chosen when an event needs something distinctly different
Viduramžiai LT has been staging live performances since 2004 and has worked with well-known Lithuanian companies, municipalities and cultural centres along the way. Chinese Dragons is one of the more exotic accents in our repertoire, rounding out our fire, LED and knight-show programmes whenever an event calls for a distinctly different, thematic visual solution.
The practical side — ours to handle
Indoors
No open flame — it suits halls where fire is not allowed.
Lighting
The effect is strongest in low light; we agree the room's lighting in advance.
From you
A power socket and a place to change — everything else arrives with us.
Stage
No stage needed: we fit the act to a dance floor or the middle of the room.
The answers people need most
How much space does the dragon performance need?
A spacious area, with no fixed dimensions required. Performers need enough room to freely manoeuvre the long dragon construction, so we discuss your venue in advance and suggest the best path for the performance. It can take place both in halls and on outdoor squares.
Is this performance suitable for themed events?
Yes, it is one of the most popular programmes for Eastern-culture or exotic-travel themed parties. It also works excellently as an original, standalone accent at any celebration — from a corporate anniversary to a city festival — whenever you want an unexpected visual moment.
Is the performance safe for the audience?
Yes, completely safe. The performance is planned and professionally controlled by trained performers — the choreography maintains a safe distance between the dragon construction and event guests throughout, so you can enjoy the spectacle up close without any risk.
Can guests take photos with the dragons afterwards?
Yes, this is one of the most popular parts of the programme once it ends. The dragons and colourful costumes make a striking photo backdrop, so we set aside time for this right after the show.
Can the programme be tailored to our event's scenario?
Yes, we readily adapt the programme to your event's flow — the length, the accents and the dragon's path through the space can be paired with special lighting solutions or musical cues so it fits naturally into your evening's programme.

We saw the Chinese dragons in the show 'Pasiklydęs laike', and we were amazed by the dynamics, the colours and that magical fluttering of the fans.
