Burning ice sculptures: the technique behind the stage
How fire and ice work together
The sculptures are frozen in advance in a custom mould, and a flame is lit inside them during the show – the contrast between cold and heat creates an image audiences don't forget.
The whole process is carefully timed: the ice must melt slowly enough for the effect to hold through the entire performance.
Where this show looks best
A dark stage and an evening slot are the ideal conditions for the play of flame and icy mist to become the event's visual highlight.
